Ok, this is my first attempt at making a Custom Figure.

I was always disappointed that the Hobbit toy line never made a deluxe or even a decent Beorn figure, so I decided to try and create one myself. The main body, arms and legs are from the CREATURERPLICA (North American Sasquatch); I did not paint those areas at all. I used the head from the Primal Rage 2 (Slash Fang) figure and painted it with Model Master Enamel (Military Brown FS30117) paint. I used Loctite Super Glue (Gel Control) to attach the Slash Fang head to the neck stump of the Sasquatch body once the Sasquatch head had been removed. I removed the Sasquatch hands and used a Dremel tool to bore a small cavity into the wrist stump on each arm. I then put a small magnet into the wrist cavity of each arm and secured the magnets in place using Loctite Super Glue (Gel Control). I used the hands from the Diamond Select/Marvel Select (Ultimate Venom) figure. Again, I used a Dremel tool to bore a small cavity into the base of each hand. I then put a small magnet into the cavity at the base of each hand and secured the magnets in place using Loctite Super Glue (Gel Control). Prior to gluing the magnets into the base of each hand I tested them with their corresponding wrist magnet to make sure I had the correct orientation (Wrist = North, Hand = South). This allows the hand positions to be changed but the hands do not really have the ability to hold anything of weight. I painted the majority of the hands with Model Master Enamel (Military Brown FS30117) paint, but I left the finger nails with their factory paint color. I used small automotive hose clamps and a wallet key chain to create Beorn’s wrist shackles. I used Loctite Super Glue (Gel Control) to attach the wallet key chain to the bottom of the automotive hose clamp. Making the feet was the most difficult part of the process for me. I cut the ends of the feet off of the Primal Rage 2 (Slash Fang) figure. Next, I used a Dremel tool to create a cavity inside of the ends of the Slash Fang feet so they would slide over top of the existing Sasquatch feet like putting on diving flippers. Once the Slash Fang clawed feet were on top of the Sasquatch feet I used Aves Apoxie Sculpt (Super White) to permanently join the two different feet together into one homogenous foot. Well at least that was the goal, I feel like the feet ended up looking like clown shoes with claws, but again this is my first custom figure so there was going to be some mistakes. I used Model Master Enamel (Military Brown FS30117) paint the majority of the feet and used Model Master Custom Enamel System (Flat Black FS37038) paint on the claws. Finally, I used Testors 1260 Dullcote spray on the items I had painted to protect the paint and presto Beorn the Orc Terminator is ready to clock in and do work!!
