The road to Captain America #CivilWar continues with the Ultimate Hulk!

This figure is a repaint of the Marvel select Ultimate The Incredible Hulk action figure by Carmelo Chimera. The original figure (pictured) had a TERRIBLE paint job, with blotchy black areas and pinkish veins. To the credit of Marvel Select, subsequent re-releases had an improved paint job but that's not what we used here.

The pants were painted with alternating blues using the same painting methods, mixing in metallic blue to help bring ou the denim texture in contrast to the very flat skin tons.

We started by painting this figure completely black with Krylon plastic-bonding 2X primer. Then, the figure was layered with shades of gray alternating between washes and dry-brushing. A tutorial is coming soon!

Finally, details like the veins, nipples, fingernails, teeth, and eyes were added (the eyes are green and glow-in-the-dark, as a nod to the original jolly green giant!). Last but never least, we applied the customary 2x Krylon Matte sealant.
