The SDCC Black Bolt was a bit underwhelming and scrawny for my liking. I wanted to make one with a beefed up imposing physique and alternate screaming head. Grim Reaper made a perfect base for the size I wanted. I added New Cap America Forearms with Iron Fist fists, then put a 3 pack cap head on him for the calm face. I kitbashed a Grim Reaper upper head with Guile screaming jaw then sculpted the two together for the necessary screaming Black Bolt head. I took Jin Saotome's Idea for Havok and gave him a screaming effect from a clam shell that fits behind his tuning fork and under his jaw line. The glow effect is from a Terrax Ghost Rider shoulderpiece cut up. it has a little notch that fits perfect in the tuning fork. The Wings are from a NECA Tyrael figure, I pegged them in to the back of his shoulders, and they are perfectly and super articulated.

I based coated and primed him in smooth silver paint and painted the black around it, making negative spaces to create the lightning bolt lines and make them cleaner and smoother than trying to paint the silver over the black. I then finished with airbrush deep blue highlights.
