Green Arrow is the first DC custom I’ve ever made. My friend wanted a Green Arrow in his new 52 costume, but he wanted him to maintain his classic goatee and moustache combo. So that’s exactly what I did.

He was made using a Dr Strange buck mostly. His lower legs (not feet) were swapped out with the BAF Hobgoblin’s, plus I gave him lower arms and fists from a Blizzard figure, his right ‘action’ hand is a modified Dr Strange hand, his left was from Superior Spider Man. His waist skirt is a heavily modified skirt piece from Dr Strange as well. The head is a MCU Steve Rogers head, the hood is from the BAF Hobgoblin and the bow is from a Hawkeye figure.

Most of the base body was heavily modified. The head was sanded bald (to better fit in the hood) and I added the goatee and moustache. I also sculpted a mask and some bangs to stick out of the hood (a nod to the actual New 52 material). On the torso, all details were done using Apoxie Sculpt: the line details, the raised grey parts, the straps of his quiver and the shoulder pads. I modified the arms by adding the wrist guards on his lower arms as well as the elbow braces. The ‘action’ hand was heavily modified to look like he is pulling an arrow back (I used a paper clip as a base and sculpted new fingers over them). The waist skirt was shaped using a dremel and then completely sculpted over adding lots of little details and a belt. l sculpted the knee pads and sanded down the Hobgoblin legs (getting rid of the circle buckle things) and smoothed them out using apoxie.

On to weapons. Hawkeyes bow was not only painted green, but a magnet was added above the handle. This magnet holds the arrow (which I made using a piece of wire coat hanger with sculpted feathers on the the end) which allows the ‘action’ hand to simulate pulling an arrow back without having to actually hold it. I also did this to make multiple arrow tips that can be swapped out using small magnets (my friend insisted he come with a boxing glove arrow). He includes a regular arrow tip, a boxing glove and a bomb… thing. lol. His quiver was made using a dental floss container with sculpt applied. The arrows sticking out are tooth picks with feathers sculpted on to the ends. It attaches to his back using a super strong magnet.
