I liked the Auto Morphin figures, but always felt that their heads were out of scale to their bodies. I realized that the heads were closer in scale to the original 1993 Power Ranger figures. I really had wanted a Billy figure, of his alter ego, high school, persona. Sadly, only the tiny PVC figurines were available.
Once I had an Auto Morphin figure that I could take apart, I took off his head, and used the neck from a regular 5.5" Power Ranger figure. Then I repainted the white neck peach to match the head, and fitted the neck and head onto the torso and arms from a SeaQuest Jonathan Brandis figure (and repainted the shirt blue). I then used the legs and waist from a Seaquest Bridger figure, because it resembled cargo pants. I sanded down the zipper detail from his waist piece.
From there, it was just a matter of putting him together. He now stands just as tall as my original 5.5" MMPR figures.
