I wanted to make the Gold Skeletor form seen in the 1987 MOTU movie as I've never seen one done on the MOTUC style body. This custom took a LOT of extra time given I had to model all the armor and head digitally in 3D (Zbrush) and then print it via Shapeways. I was aided with the staff by Evil Mike who many people are familiar with from Shapeways because of his famous Filmation style power swords. I used the True Metal brand paint range in gold to cover over several coats of brass and copper tons from P3 paints to buff it so I could somewhat get a "mirror" shine. I also crafted the cloth accents and the drapery coming from both shoulders and made the pads detachable in the even the buyer would like more posing options. This is easily the longest time I've taken on a piece combining the modeling of the pieces and the hand done elements came out to a total of over 50 hours when I completed it. It also has custom packaging done by me as well.
