I like how you painted over the red portions of the costume, JT. I can't wait to see more images of the suit so those of us who have made MCU costume customs (I've done two) can see how "off" we were by basing our work off of 5 seconds of footage!

Thank you for the compliments, JT. Part of the challenge is deciding how to handle the "chevron" on the shoulder. Mine is a bit more exaggerated than the one in the movie trailer, but the spot the joint is in on the figure leaves no other great option. If you have a shade of red that could allow you to smooth out the definition of those parts of the arms (and take note of how the forearm strips look in the trailer) you could definitely take this figure to the next level.

Hi would you say that the Amazing Spider-Man 2 Spider-Man figure would be a good base too?

I'm not sure, someone did already do that. Maybe a better head for it? Idk

I am the person who used that figure as the base and posted it here. I just posted another using the same base as JT did above. I started working on it the day after I posted the original one because while it was a good base for MCU Spidey, I knew the Classic Pizza Spidey could be even better. Both of them have their inherent issues because of the way the figure is designed (and our limited knowledge of what the costume really looks like, though if you pause it you can see how the spider logo on the back should look, how the red and black lines go from his shoulder, through his torso, and into his belt...)
I would say if you have the ASM2 figure, go for it. The wonky shoulders will be the biggest hurdle in terms of line work. If you paint and dremel (or cut) the eyes they will look fine. Have fun!
