In Wonder Woman comics, another amazon named Artemis was once chosen to take Diana's place in the title role. This is an alternate take on that story. What if a MAN was chosen instead, a man empowered by the gods, the warrior known as Hercules.

Hercules was no stranger to their world. In the past, he brutally attacked the amazons. But in this reimagined version, he returned to the shores of Themyscira after many years. The purpose of his return this time was not to conquer them. He sought their forgiveness. A chance to redeem himself for his past sins is all he hoped for.

The once barbaric and ruthless demigod had changed into a man destined to be a hero and a force for good. Hercules vowed to defend Themyscira and all the amazons. He would battle against all evil and injustice.

He now believed in peace and equality between all men and women. Because of this, the women of Themyscira were willing to forgive and accept him.

As their new champion, he was honored to wear the symbolic uniform with red, blue, silver and gold. It was similar to the one worn by the previous champion of Themyscira, but in a variant style that was more suited for him. Instead of the golden lasso that Wonder Woman had, Hercules has the Golden Chains of Truth. Anyone bound by these unbreakable chains will always reveal the truth.

He fights for truth and justice as Hercules, "The Wonder Man" of the DC Universe!


Hope you all liked this original story and custom. The design was influenced by the look of Marvel's Hercules, but this is not Marvel's Hercules. It's DC's Hercules redesigned to take the place of Wonder Woman.

The figure was made from a Barbarian Hulk base. I sculpted the shorts, used leather straps for the sandals and metallic strips for wristbands. The belt piece in the center and headband were modified from a Wonder Woman figure's belt.
