This is one of my fave new display dioramas. It could work for many figure lines. Base is construction foam, sand, and leaf litter. Skeleton figure is a decoration from Michael's. Wall is made from real brick and mortar, from a child's building set. I found loads of them at a local thrift and bought them all. Bricks and building debris around the body are from the same set. Brilliant for fodder and way cheaper than ebay. Anyway I built the wall with the intention of making an explosion scene, but once built I liked the look of it, and decided to blow up the next one instead. Balcony is a piece of a newer star wars toy. Door is a broken ramp from a GI Joe base. Pipe was a random find, not sure what it is from. Made the evidence markers from scrap paper, and a Playmobil shovel. Knife in the ribs is from my walking dead Darryl figure. Added some graffiti. one is a decal and then I painted the "no aliens" thingy but I'm not super super happy with it so I'm may redo them both later. Dry brushed and weathered using Tamiya paints and dirt/sand. added liquefied iron filings to grow the rust, which will of course continue as time goes on. when I build these pieces they are always done unsealed for just that reason. I can't wait to see what happens when real decay meets model urban decay. I hope you all enjoy my work. Simon ![]() |
