This is my second version of Swarm; The first was 5 years ago and an entry into a contest here on FigureRealm. For the five year anniversary of that win I thought it'd be an interesting exercise to go back and see how my customising has changed since then.

So here's Swarm. He's made from a Marvel Legends Target Exclusive Vision. I stripped the white paint from the figure with acetone to get a completely transparent base to start with. I then dremeled out areas of the figure and constructed his skeleton from wire, sculpt, superglue and talcum powder. I then glued nail caviar onto him and painted the whole thing with clear yellow to preserve the transparent look that I think sells the idea he is swarm of bees. I constructed some more detailed bees from beads and nail caviar to help push the swarm idea forward.

His cape is made from a simple purple cloth, wired along the edges, and I added additional strips of cloth to give him a more tattered and dynamic look. These strips are also articulated with wire.

He has alternate heads. One made from Marvel Legends Grim Reaper, and the other from Marvel Legends Ghost Rider.

Any sculpting work you see is done with Milliput.

I gave him a base, swirling with swarms of bees and blowing newspapers, again to add in to that dynamic feeling.
