Good day guys! Chalking one for the indies... From Big City Comics we have, "The Ant" by the talented, Mario Gully!

Query: "how to make a two-color character stand out?"
Answer: "use five"

This fiery Ant features a reshaped body, her trademark antennae, sculpted details and the
usual LC paintjob that can withstand normal play. Check out those cool poses :D!
See more of her by googling "loosecollector blogspot gully's".

Hope you like her guys. God bless.

So I have become a real fan of this character and this is an outstanding custom. Would you mind sharing what head you used? ALso have you though of maybe selling or commissioning casts for this character? I have a Shapeways printed body on the way that I think would be a perfect base but I can't sculpt or paint for that matter but I think I want to try to make her.

I started a custom of her a couple of years ago and then let it fall to the wayside. Now seeing yours I kinda of wish I'd finished her though she wouldn't have been this nice. I never could figure out a good solution to doing to ANTennae though so I really wish you'd posted details on that. Lol

For antennae, try the twist ties that have a rubber coating on them, and add liquid latex to your paint if you want them poseable. You can also try places like Radioshack and buy wires with red sheathing. You might even have an old battery operated toy around that you can take the wires from.

Doc's reply is spot on brother. For this one, I used wire covered in red plasti-dip and glued the tips made from shaped plastic sheets.
