LOBO L.E.G.I.O.N. member (DC Universe) Custom Action Figure
When Lobo appeared during the late 80's-early 90's in the L.E.G.I.O.N. Giffen run, he was a normal dude that was as strong as Superman and with an amazing tracking ability. Then he suddenly got beefed-up by Bisley which stuck until the New 52 made it looked that the Bisley one took the place of the original one (look at the pics) whithout his knowledge first, who offed his duplicate later. I don't like the new Lobo series because it turned into just another spandex space opera. The whole reason people liked the old Lobo comics, however cringe-worthy they could be, was stripped out. Old Lobo was a douche, but he was lovable, New Lobo is just a douche, with none of the slapstick and absurdity to complement it.
I read the first 5 issues, and while I do like all the cool designs for the people he's fighting, the series just doesn't make me want to read more. It could be a generic Star Wars comic, I couldnt tell the difference. I was skipping like half the books' pages to pass over the boring stuff about him being a prince or something, and then he gets teamed with a bootleg Guardians of the Galaxy-type team where all they do is yap and I just DGAF anymore lol
I'm considering photoshopping old Lobo into the new comic and writing my own script, could be a funny side project.
