Here for your viewing enjoyment is a Superboy Prime Black Lantern figure. This costume is from the pages of Adventure Comics 508. Superboy was only in this costume for one comic frame, before he changed into several other lantern colors, and finally ended in a Red Lantern costume.
I had already made a Sinestro Corps Superboy Prime figure and I wanted to do another one. My previous Superboy figure, I used the DC Direct figure, and this reduced the articulation and makes the figure look a little stiff.
This time I started with the Mattel Superboy Prime figure and added the torso, upper arms, and upper legs are from the Manta figure.I used the right hand from a Black Lantern Hal Jordan I sculpted the Black Hand logo over the Superboy/Man logo, painted all of the armor silver, and repainted the skin a gray tone. I made a wired cloth cape for the figure so that it can be shaped into various poses. It was a pretty simple custom, and I am pretty happy with the end results.
