Hello everyone, I've always been captivated by the custom Predator figures on this site and decided to give customizing a try. My goal here was to create a really savage,in your face, brawler like Predator. I decided early on that I wanted bronze to be the prominent color on the armor and it kind of slowly turned into an almost gladiator like look. This dude is an old Super Pred who, after many hunts, decided to become a trainer for preds engaging in one on one melee combat. I started out with a Neca Scavenge Pred, re-arranged some armor (leg armor used for the shoulder armor, removed the collar like armor of the Scavenge)and did a total repaint. The gauntlet on the left arm is from an old Gene Simmons figure and the axe from a Mezco Sub Zero figure. I didn't care for the paint on the original figure, as it was rather bland and the top of the head where the dreads met was sloppily done at best, so I repainted the dreads blue and gave him a coat or two of Zandri Dust followed by some striping and detail. Alas, I don't have a dremel yet so paint rub at the joints has been an issue. The pictures are pre-final touch up and I plan on posting better picture as the figure is fully finished. Please comment any tips or tricks you may have to making a kick ass pred or improving this one. Hope you guys enjoy my first foray into the world of custom figures.
