So, I'm a big fan of revoltech and figma figures. The articulation alone is amazing, and couple that with the awesome sculpts, they're just hard to beat. I've been holding onto Suguru for a while now just waiting for the right project, and now I want to get a couple more because it's such a great base to work with.
I started by taking the body apart and sculpting the solid parts with apoxie, and the more flexible parts with green stuff. When I first started sculpting, I didn't realize that apoxie was not great on the more flexible parts, and I had a few flakes here and there, to my dismay. Some Google surfing later, and I had my answer to the dilemma. Whodathunk?!
I thought the Savage Opress head would make an interesting Logan, with the distinct grimace on his face. I cut the horns off, with the exception of two closer to the back of the head to have support for the initial chunks of hair to have some stability. Sculpted the hair and lamb chops with green stuff and he was good to go. For the bladed hands, I used a few GI Joe ninja swords I had gathered up over the years, drilled small holes in the fists and glued in place. After all that, he was good to paint.
I tried a few sculpting techniques I hadn't used before, and they seemed to work out fairly well, so I thought I'd remember to take a couple of in progress pics this time around. All in all, I'm quite happy with how he turned out. Given the revolmini base, he ended up with more of an anime look, combined with the clone wars head. I know Wolverine/Logan has been done many a time, but I like to think this one has a bit of a unique look to him, and can hopefully fit in among some of the incredible Wolvies that have came before. I haven't really made many marvel characters during my time customizing, so I hope I did him justice on this one, and hope you guys like. Thanks for checking him out, folks.
