I wanted to avoid yellow, but a request came in. And it wasn't just use yellow. No, it had to be the entire figure. And then additional black details. I don't have the steadiest hands, so I have to do quite a bit of evening. This one was agony. Of all the Age of Apocalypse designs, Sunfire was definitely the one I wanted to avoid. However, all that said, I am super happy with how he came out. A lot of work, but it paid off. The repaint was tedious, but came out great. For the flames, I used what was left from that Marvel Legends Human Torch. Used most for Starbolt before, but had just enough to give Sunfire some on his arms and legs. The head was great. I started with a 25th Anniversary Destro. Cut off the nose and ears, then added some sculpt to his face to smooth it over. After a repaint, I topped it off with some flames from Ghost Rider. Came out much better than I expected.
