I was looking thru my bits box and found two more Indy heads and straight away I knew I wanted to make Indy in Desert uniform when he is on the Island in ROTLA. In the movie when he first knocks out the German soldier and tries putting on the uniform and then there's another German standing above him I noticed that when he puts the uniform on it doesn't have rank.

I figured that if this soldier is ordering Indy around that he has to have some sought of rank so I gave my Indy a NCO (non commissioned officer) uniform that's the yellow strip around the collar.

RECIPE

1: Head - Is from The frontline custom heads this is the new head. I gave the head a little darker skin then I usually do as I figured that if he's out in the water and holding onto the periscope that he would get a little sun burnt.

2: Body & Hands - The body and hands are both from Dragon.

3: Uniform - The whole unirom is from Dragon. The uniform was boiled in hot water with washing detergent and a quarter of a teaspoon of bleach was used to tone down the colours. When the cloths have dried I put them on the body and gave them wash's to simulate the colour's I wanted.

4: Base - The base is foamcore, I traced a 7" Disney base onto the foamcore and then cut it out. The boxes/crates under the tarp are pieces of foam cut to size and glued in place. I then covered the foam with cloth and use watered down cloth glue to glue it down.

I then covered the base using plaster of paris and used a mix of 50/50 plaster and Vallejo's Khaki, when th mixture was mixed together I dabbed it over the base to give it a concrete. When the plaster dried I then gave the base a wash of Mattblack and then dried brushed it with khaki and off white to give it a concrete look.
