Sunspot (Roberto "Bobby" da Costa) is a Marvel Comics superhero most commonly associated with X-Men-related groups the New Mutants and X-Force.
A Brazilian mutant, Sunspot possesses the ability to absorb and channel solar power. He is idealistic and impulsive, but is considered a close friend of many of his teammates. He was an important member of the X-Men’s 1980s-era junior team and its reincarnation X-Force.
Sunspot was made from a Marvel Legends two pack Wolverine body and a Captain Steve Rogers head. The flame effects were sculpted and painted. I attempted to capture Sunspot mid power-up (flame on) and also tried to incorporate black and white (Think Kirby Dots!). This is not his most well known uniform, so a later attempt at that look will most def be in the works. Comments, questions and critiques are always welcome!
