with this one I close my current Nintendo frenzy (just for a while since I got some Rare stuff incoming) this is totally related to the custom King k. Rool figure I made, that one was made months ago and since then many people approached me wanting to buy it. of course I was open to selling but since it's a unique figure the price would be higher, so I thought it would be better to make my own figure that could be casted as many times as necessary. this took me around a month give or take, I made him from wax and sculpted him as a minibust, though the original sculpt lacks some features that the final fig has. mainly because they would make the mold more complicated.

so, sort this in your head, the original sculpt lacks fangs, claws, the jewel on the chest, the crown and the cape, the crown is casted separately and was originally made from a piece of pvc tube, dremelled, carved and sanded. as I said he was casted lacking all of that because it would be more complex with all those features. this also allows me to make another version of him, I could easily make him look like he does at the end of Donkey Kong Country 2 or 3.

also, when I made him each arm was separated from the body, so I could work better on the body and also cast the three pieces separately. since I was sculpting freely and didn't have the the restrictions of a base body (as in a custom) I made him way more accurate to the game, but also added a bit of my own, mainly by making his arms more muscular and adding more texture to his whole body, and keeping him as fat as he should be. when everything is casted I sculpt over where the arms and body join and add the necessary details with epoxy and then everything gets painted, a thick layer of sealer and done!
