Iceman: One of my favorite X-Men. I don't think any of the current Marvel Legends Icemen have done the character justice so I set out to make my own.

Body is a ML Ronin wave Silver Surfer
Head is a casted DC Collectibles John Constantine
Slide and Stand are from a My Little Pony Roller Coaster thing I found at a thrift shop.

The "X" belt I sculpted and originally wasn't happy with it, but I tell myself it's made of ice and wouldn't be perfect anyways so now I like it.

I made what I call the "snow stand" with a cast off piece of the Slide so I could practice painting the ice. It came out way white so I'm just saying it's snow. I made it in case I didn't want to display the whole slide, but I haven't used it yet.

I love how the slide turned out. There's a good 8 or 9 glue sticks covering the bad boy. Spray painted the whole thing blue, then dry-brushed a light blue then white. With a gloss coat to seal it. There are magnets lining the top of the slide every few inches, which along with the magnets in the figures feet allow it to stay in a sliding pose.

The pictures make Iceman and the slide look way off in color, I think its the heavy lights. On the shelf they match much better.

For Iceman I took the Silver Surfer body and sanded a bunch to flatten him out and get some sharper edges. You can kinda see it on his chest and thighs. Primed him white. Painted a light blue base coat. Washed the recesses with a dark blue. Then just dry brushed with lighter and lighter blues until I got to white. Sealed the whole thing with a gloss top coat.

Probably my favorite custom on my shelf.
