Special Agent Bill Maxwell was on the hunt for his missing partner. While searching the desert he comes across school teacher Ralph Hinkley. Together they are visited by an alien ship. Bill's former partner, who is now revealed 'deceased' is aboard the ship and gives the duo a special suit for Ralph that will grant him special powers. The pair are told to work together to help better the world, and thus began the grand adventure.

Man, was Robert Culp in a lot of great shows! RIP, sir. Growing up I loved "The Greatest American Hero" and probably like everyone my age, wanted an action figure. I didn't care for Megos, and to be honest, had no idea figures from the show even existed back then. So I knew when I started customizing a few years that I wanted to make a Ralph Hinkley custom someday. Little did I know I'd also make is partner, Bill Maxwell.

I knew I could probably never find or make a head that would look exactly like Robert Cup or William Katt, but I think this comes fairly close in plastic form. Certainly it's no worse than some of the actor likenesses Mattel and Hasbro have given us over the years. At least I think so.

So, here's Bill. He was made with the torso from a Movie Masters Bazooka Joker, and the arms, legs, and coat from a Movie Masters Joker Thug. The head is from a Batman '66 Riddler. I sanded off the mask and added some sculpt around the cheeks and eyes to add some age to him. I hope it looks good.

Who knows, maybe I'll make Connie Selleca someday?
