I am a sucker for collecting all Marvel Cinematic Universe movie figures. So of course, although I already had the first releases for Thor, Black Widow, and Hawkeye, I had to buy the Amazon 4-Pack. I was kind of disappointed that Hawkeye was pretty much a repaint of the Wal-mart exclusive Avengers figure but with a different sunglass-less head. I thought it was a missed opportunity to release a long-sleeve jacket Hawkeye as seen in the opening scene of Age of Ultron in the snow. It was a great costume design that paid respect to the comic book costume featuring the skirt and two straps down the middle. So of course, I wanted to just create my own version. Unfortunately, I wasn't smart enough to figure out how to actually create an accurate jacket due to the specific closed (zipped up) design. So instead, I created my own version that was unique yet similar to the jacket seen in Age of Ultron. I had to swap out the biceps with a generic Bucky Cap base. Then I used Agent Coulson's forearms to get the sleeved ends. Then I added the jacket from Star-Lord. I had to cut a hole in the back of the jacket in order for the quiver to attach into the hole in his back. I debated shortening the jacket but ultimately decided to keep it long given the beautiful detailing on the sculpt. I painted the appropriate parts black to create the full jacket appearance but added some dark burgundy accents as a nod to the Age of Ultron jacket. I wasn't sure how he would turn out given the inaccurate jacket but I'm pretty happy with how slick and stealthy he turned out. I'm pretty excited having him to contrast to my Wal-mart Avengers figure and to add to my Age of Ultron display. ![]() |

Know what else makes no sense? That no one else has attempted a AoU style Hawkeye figure. So kudos on the first, and good job making it look pretty awesome!
