I've been routinely clearing out my boxes of old figures, either to sell or use as fodder and I came across this McFarlane 'The Creech' figure. After some thought, I figured he'd make an awesome first appearence Doomsday-specifically when he's still in his 'space suit'. In this case, he's still mostly in the suit, but his one arm has come free and there are less restraints on him. He was kind of a pain to work with to be honest. First thin I did was rip off all the original figures tentacle like hair. From there, I filled in that area after sanding it down, threw on some goggle pieces and then sculpted around it to make it flow with the figure better. The worst part was painting him. He's a big figure, which was nice, but getting into those gauntlets was hard! In some cases, where I couldn't reach at all or where the paint would NOT stay, I just hit with several dark washes to make it look more natural. Dark colors don't seem to show up well for me ever in pictures, but his suit is actually a dark blue/green, just like his comic style was colored I'm very happy with the final product though-I feel he does a very cool Doomsday figure (he is PERFECT in size next to any 6 inch hero!) Figure features: -7 inch height -19 points of movement -Custom paint job -Sealed to protect paint -Rubble base stand ![]() |
