Thanos had but one purpose in life; to show his love for death her self. His display of raw power and strength was not enough to turn deaths head, when that failed, he used the six Infinity Gems to build a monument in honor of his love. Even the monument failed to take the stoic look off Deaths face. Eventually Death turned her back on Thanos. He longed for her love and acceptance for so long that it nearly broke his will. Using the power of the gems Thanos decided to seal a small portion of Deaths aura into a small sphere. In a blink of an eye the sphere was transported to his lab. If Death refused to be close to him at least he could have a small part of her with him at all times.
Upon loosing the Infinity Gauntlet Adam Warlock spared the Mad Titans life. Many months passed and all Thanos could do was to experiment in his lab in hopes of putting things behind him. It was in this time when Thanos dabbled with clones of himself. Devastation happened when five of these clones activated, among them the Omega. After the clones defeat, Thanos saw how powerful they could be. It was then that he remembered the sphere . He vowed to create a monument so grand that Mistress Death herself could not refused.
Years were spent in this tedious task for it had to be perfect. Finally the time was right for Thanos to summon his mistress. “Look my love, at what stands before you,” boasted Thanos. “Our son. He has the strength and intellect of his father and the soul of you, his mother. He is not a mindless thrall, he has his own wild vengeance for life.” After unveiling his homage for Death, Thanos waited for her response. “You honor me Thanos of Titan. He will carry on your legacy and my own.” A small smile swept over the Titans face even though there was a volcano erupting on the inside. Finally his mistress accepted him. Death took Thanos by the and explained that the world could not know about their son until the time was right. Upon hearing this Thanos ordered his son into seclusion in the depths of space. Knowing his time was drawing near Thanos passed, as a parting gift, the reality gem.
After the Annihilation wave……. “My father has gone to be with my mother now. Don’t worry father your legacy will live on. The world will know my name father. They will forever know Dessolace, the Mad Titan of Death!”

I had fun with this custom. The base figure was a LCBH Savage Dragon . The legs Belong to a Black Panther figure with the boots from a ML series 9 Cyclops. I cut the fin off the head and drimmeled it smooth. I then sculpted the brows and chin along with the gloves out of fixit sculpt. All the straps are Mr. Sinister cape. The paint consisted of a flat black base coat. I then dry brushed purple for the skin and gold and dark blue for the costume. I then gave the blue a black wash. The cape was from a Dr. Doom figure with skulls sculpted on and then painted flat black. I hope everyone enjoys this custom as much as I do.
