Update: Snagged an open palm hand for Steel and painted to match which helps him hold his brand new Ronan style hammer with embedded jewels :P. Hand is from similar body style Capt America painted silver to match, the new tall hammer uses a broken Gundam scythe base and the Ronan style hammer I sculpted including the cusp, used little cubic zirconia or whatever they were that fell off my wife's Christmas pillow. I've been busy, too many websites and forums never enough time eh? Thought I'd get a few new customs up here that I've been working on with my son! DAS STORY! Needless to say as you can tell this is a variant of Steel, meaning that I cooked him up with my sons help! So its not John Henry Irons - nope! You name him, we haven't given him a real name just his alter ego which is "Steel". In this universe Superman exist, he never however exhibited any super powers until after puberty. The truck/car being lifted up when he was three or four years old never happened in this reality - in fact Clark Kent's powers didn't show up until his teenage years however before that, being the son of Jonathan and Martha Kent he sought to help others, they instilled solid values within him therefor every so often young Clark along with his parents would donate blood. After a horrific car accident, our version of Steel received several packets of blood from Clark thus turning him into a super-powered hero! He's not as strong as Superman however the Kryptonian blood was not rejected and in fact fused with his own so now he can generate new mixed blood cells and retain his powers! - MU Captain America (from the Wal-Mart Exclusive with Skrull Giant-Man) the one that shares the smilar body w/ the long necked Wolverine bodies. - Iron Man II unmasked War Machine Head. - Top of the legs are from 35th Anniversary X-Men box set Cyclops figure. - Feet are from a G.I. Joe if I recall correctly, if not then they're from a MU figure... were in fodder box been so long I can't honestly say which feet I used and also I was a little lazy as this was finished late-night when I couldn't sleep so as you can tell, I didn't paint those feet one bit and that's why they're still black gloss instead of flat black - FOR SHAME! - Iron Man II bottom legs from the War-Machine Variant (where his face is part cyborg, used those bottom legs clipped the spikey part off, didn't like that :P). - Cape from DC Injustice Superman. - Steel should pads w/ chains and "S" symbol is actually cut and formed from a 6" Crime Syndicate of America Superwoman. - Mjolnir Hammer from MU Thor series, painted the brown handle black, added some crackle nail polish to the front of hammer to makeit have that weathered effect then straight over top of the hammer with new silver. - I'll try for a new up-close pic soon but his jawline is silver as-in reinforced steel and his eye does have a sensor/ coming out from side of head and it does a crescent moon shape around his left eye. *The little clear band you see across his chest, I use those to help anchor capes and weapons or gear, its see-through. Basically just save all the little clear bands that help hold the action-figures in the packaging as they're quite useful. ![]() |
