I managed to get a hold of a Stealth Variant Iron Man for cheap and I decided to take a crack at painting metallics once again on a movie figure.

I actually started by dyeing the figure in black fabric dye. The stuff works great, just be sure to remove all the excess with plenty of soap and water. I then touched it up with black. And then covered the parts that would be red in silver (about 4 coats). I did something different with this figure and that was the inclusion of shading. I used a gun metal grey to add dark areas for depth. It looked amazing in the silver alone. I then applied the gold (a mix of vallejo brass and old gold) and the clear red. A little bit of white and blue for the eyes and pow! Iron Man Mark IV.
