The Invisible Woman : Susan Richards née Storm

Head/hair: DC Armory Flamebird
Body: Marvel Legends Captain Marvel
Hands/Feet: Marvel Legends Wasp

Process:
Overall this was a fairly simple custom, but I did run into a few snags along the way. The body was a Marvel Legends Captain Marvel. The dark blue of her suit made for a good base for the Invisible Woman. I swapped out her hands with a Marvel Legends Wasp. Originally I had intended to paint over the gold detail on her hands but the design grew on me and I liked the extra detail. Same for the feet. The fee presented a unique challenge because I wanted to use the ankle joint from the Wasp figure so there would be no paint rub. Easier said than done. The joint from Wasp was much smaller than the ankle on the Captain Marvel figure. I had to modify it a lot to get it to fit. It more a less works as it should. I didn’t do anything to the head because I think the Flamebird figure works perfectly as Susan Richards/Storm.
I’m not over the moon with the paint job. I was trying to mimic some airbrushing on the suit but seeing as I don’t have an airbrush, the results were middling at best.

PS: Please excuse my janky photoshoot set. Yes I tapped together pieces of paper. Yes I know it doesn't look good. lol.

Articulation:
Ball-jointed head, ball-jointed shoulders, single hinged elbows, elbow swivel, bicep cut, wrist swivels, wrist hinges, ball-jointed hips, upper thigh swivel, double hinged knees, rocker ankles with hinge.
