As soon as the Marvel Legends Piledriver was shown a few years ago I immediately knew I'd need an extra to make Mammoth from the Teen Titans' archenemies the Fearsome Five. And then he was delayed...and delayed...and delayed. But it was worth the wait because his size, and arms and legs were a near perfect match for his more modern appearance (Mammoth and Piledriver are listed as an inch apart in height!). Plus, I really do think the rest of the Fearsome Five look better in their more modern costumes, especially Psimon and Shimmer, so I intend to eventually make the other members. Baran Flinders and his sister, Shimmer, were founding members of the team after they answered an ad posted by Dr. Light in the Underworld Star (gotta love pre-Crisis DC!). He possesses immense strength but a very low intellect and has thus been employed by many villainous teams to be the muscle.

This version of Mammoth was made from a Marvel Legends Piledriver body. The chest harness was sculpted on and a few of the round parts from Piledriver's chest piece were glued on while the remaining pieces had to be sculpted and attached afterwards. The head is a cast of a Marvel Legends Warpath head with a sculpted on beard to complete the look.

And that's it. One down, more than five to go.
