Bootleg restorations are always a fair bit of fun to tackle. I bought a set of Avengers bootleg figures and am grateful that I was able to get a legit official movie Thor figure because even though the bootleg is taken from the actual moulds, there is a noticeable disparity in the scale - the second picture is a comparison with the proper Movie Thor figure. I decided to try and get it to look close-ish to Thor's design in Age of Ultron. Opened up the torso, removing the LED and batteries and added in the arms from a Mattel Daniel Bryan. Cut up the lower legs to lengthen them a little. Sculpted on the gauntlets and sculpted some extra strands of hair and eyebrows on the head. Used craft pleather for the loincloth and the cape. Painted everything up, including a repaint of the face to bring out a little more of the Chris Hemsworth likeness. Hope this passes muster; thanks for looking!
