The majority of this figure is the SDCC Son Gohan with Krillin legs added. I modified the waist a bit so the legs would have more room, sculpted an undershirt on the torso, and then painted everything with the appropriate colors. I wasn't able to properly modify the shoulder cloth parts to add the blue undershirt (I was hesitant to use putty since the sleeves would be so thin, I didn't want them to crack when the arms were moved) so I settled on gluing some thin blue rubber material under the parts...then I mixed some dark blue paint to match the rubber. I wanted the outfit to have the same colors seen on the Figuarts Son Goku and I feel I came very close to them but the darker orange clashes with the brighter (somewhat desaturated) orange base coat. I feel airbrushing would've given a better blend but airbrushing wasn't an option. Once everything was painted I sealed the entire outfit with Testors Dullcote Lacquer to give it a nice flat finish and it was good to go. Nothing too spectacular here, I'm just submitting this since the contest has so few entries. Thanks for checking it out.
This one has already been sold and I'm not sure if I'm going to make a new version but if I end up making one there are two ways to go about it. You send me a new Gohan and I charge you for my time and the materials I'll use (about $30, and that includes the shipping cost) or I can get the Gohan and add whatever I spend to the total cost (possibly $30 for the Gohan which I will pay for and then $30 for my time...roughly $60).
