Custom Type:Vehicle
Toy Series:Star Trek
Creator:William Kirk
Date Added:August 14, 2015
Base Figure:-
Height:17.00 inches
This 1:1000 Akira - Class starship is a scratch-built based on a Akira paper model. It´s made of plastic, cardboard and putty to fill the gaps. I also used plastic bottle screw cap for the Bussard Collectors, a bottom of the bottle screw cap for the deflector dish and a crown cork for the bridge.

The relief on the saucer section is made of a thicker paper, that is cut out in the right shape and glued on the plastic hull. All windows are hand - painted, the Federation logo and escape pods are from a picture of the Enterprise E and are printed and glued on the surface.

The pylons of the warp nacelles are strutted with a wire. The colors are Revell SM 374 and MATT 74.
The ship is 44 cm ( 17,6 inches) long.

After seeing your Excelsior class ship I checked out your other work and found this. Again, amazing. The attention to detail is breathtaking, the fact this isn't a factory produced model just household stuff makes it all the more incredible.
Bravo, as Daysleeper said, this is art

Wow, this is incredible. I feel like the Akira-class vessels didn't quite shine enough, they just sort of entered battles and occasionally got blown up by the Borg.

I don't think I've ever seen anyone make such a brilliant portrayal of this ship. It's a masterpiece. I'm extremely jealous that I don't have one myself.
