As a child of the seventies, growing up with Star Wars toys in the 1980s, I have a soft spot for the Kenner Ewok figures. I had 'em all as a kid (still have them, as a matter of fact). Wicket was my favorite. Over the past couple of years I had a lot of fun creating all sorts of costom Ewoks with vintage Wicket as the base figure. Some based on the Return Of The Jedi movie, others on the Ewoks cartoon series and others are just freestyle.

The first one I made is Widdle Warrick (far left), based on his movie appearance. Straight repaint, trimmed the hood somewhat, repro weapon and done.

Next was Princess Kneesa (second from right), a cartoon character. The idea was to make her look as if she had been in the movie and Kenner made a figure in the 1980s. Also straight repaint and a trimmed hood. Minor sculpting to finish her.

After that I wanted to do something more ambitious. So I turned to
Latara (far right) from the cartoon. Lots of sculpting involved, hat, hair, necklace. I also made her a flute as an accessory.

I was a bit reluctant to make Teebo (middle), as he already has a vintage figure from Kenner (based on hit Return Of The Jedi appearance) and I only wanted to make 'new' Ewoks. But my wife likes the cartoon version, so I made that for her. Sculpted his hat, additional hair and painted the entire figure. He is holding a repro Ewok weapon.

After that I wanted to go wild a bit. Based on several 'Ewoking Dead' drawings I saw online, I created 'Zomb-E-Wok' (third from right). Repainted Wicket, glued a repro vintage Stormtrooper helmet in his hands. Some GI Joe head from my fodder box was placed in there and I created slime and gore by mixing paint and glue. Sculpted some teeth as well. Probably my favorite of the set.

More fun with Bomba Fett (second from left). Based on some cartoon version I once saw. Wicket body, Boba Fett helmet, sculpted ears. Head is articulated.

Last one I finished today and that's Teebo's sister Malani (third from left). Based once again on the cartoon. Sculpted hood and extra hair. Also I gave her a paint brush, like in one of the episodes.
