Great custom! It's easy to see that you put a lot of effort to make this...From what figure are these double-jointed arms?

Out of curiosity - how did you create the armour and have it removable? I can see the grey apoxie sculpt but it loks like youve used (faux) leather for the strapping etc.. velcro? thank you it looks great

Just put a piece of tape or liquid latex on the area and sculpt on it as usual, makes it easy to remove. Then electrical tape for the straps. The bra/harness is all one piece that I remove like a t-shirt.

If I do this again I would use a little piece of velcro in back to make it removable like a normal bra.

It's probably easier to use some elastic band, but I like that the tape looks like oiled leather after painting.

that is why I was so shocked because it does look like youve cut little strips of leather and attached them to sculpted cups. I sometimes wonder about if I 'should" make figures with removable items but I then think just because I've made doesn't mean they have to be taken off. I keep experimenting with other materials to make something flexible that will withstand wear and tear pulling it over a figure but they all rip/crumble so far (e.g. mixing greenstuff yellow compound with apoxie compound b or a I can't remember)

Formula P3 paints made by Privateer Press, used Midlund Flesh. You can get them for like 2.45 each online, they sell sets of 6 pots for like 12.50 too, its cheaper if you need those 6 specific colors.

I just really don't like painting skin! Its so annoying that I'll be painting and out of nowhere a speck of dirt or a hair or whatever will get into the paint and ruin the finish. I need a HEPA filter running all day lol

I like to make things removable whenever possible. Its easy to do and it makes painting so much easier when you can paint everything separately.

Great job dude, super Sexy! I used those same gloves on my Daniel Fortesque figure!
Have there been any problems with paint rub on her knee and elbow joints?
Also, your deviant art link isn't working.

Yeah I love those gloves, all the fingers move. Too bad I never see the fig I got them from on sale anywhere

No paint rub, check the tutorial I posted in the Tutorials section for info on how I do it.

Updated the link, thanks!

I love the sculpt detail for the armor and that it fits perfectly looking as though it were sculpted onto the figure, but is removable. Fantastic!

Beautiful Red Sonja! Aside from the fantastic body, you made great weapons for her. Also, I thought that your description of the current Red Sonja comics was hilarious. How'd you make her hair and face? Was that sculpted too? Great job!

The comics were a fun adventure to read when Dynamite Entertainment brought her back to life. Somewhere along the way guys like Maiolo and Benez started doing the art, putting her in ridiculous poses, and once I started rolling my eyes while reading the comic I realized it was time to move on lol.

The head was from a DC figure, I had to resculpt the top of the head and hair since she had a tiara.

The axe design is straight from one of the comic covers, the shoulderpads are based on Torchlight designs (video game)

Ha! Awesome dude! There's something about a chick with a metal bikini that just makes ya want to remove it...I should know, because I'm the guy who made slave Leia with a removable outfit awhile back! Seriously though, top notch work.
