I used Tamiya model paints & a safety pin to complete this piece.
As an artist I wanted to try something new and I thought of custom figure painting. Considering this is my first ever attempt at figure painting I think that I did a pretty good job at it.
I used a safety pin to puncture stubble marks into his face followed by a black wash to give the facial hair a bumpy 3D texture to it. I then recolored the grey armour segments to black to replicate the original look of the suit. I also pierced holes into the metallic bolts that are on the edge of the armour pieces, they were painted silver for the finishing touches.
This is one of many more custom figure paintings to come, I definitely intend to improve my ability in this area of art.Stay tuned for more. :) My art work is up on Instagram @drazorart.
