A few years ago my brother got me a black panther comic he'd picked up somewhere called 'Black Panther: the Most Dangerous Man Alive', drawn by Jefte Palo, and in it, Black Panther's in NYC and he wears like a Kevlar vest thing. I really loved the art, so I tried to make a black panther that looked like that comic...sort of. In the comic he's got very cat-like ears, quite rounded, but when I did my head I thought it looked quite cool with really pointy, almost dagger-like ears. I might change them sometime to look more like that comic. This is Daredevil's head, with horns taken off and ears put on, I've also sanded his nose down so it looks like he's got a mask on. He's got Falcon's hands and falcons upper legs too. Then I made him a little bullet proof vest out of foam stuff I picked up really cheap at tesco. I've put a steel ball bearing in his neck and magnets in his head to articulate the head...for some reason in the past I'd tried to take off daredevil's head an broke the joint so this was the best way I could figure to keep the articulation & stick the head back on.
I'm happy with him for now, but I'm thinking of maybe putting some claws on him or like I said, changing the ears to fit more with that Jefte Palo drawn issue I had. Any tips or ideas on how you think I could go about this would be welcome. I try and avoid sculpting from scratch because I'm not too great at it yet.
I'm not really looking to become a professional customiser or anything, but I always want to be able to improve, so if you like something about the way I've done a custom, please tell me so I can do that more. And if you think I could have done something better, tell me, and if you've got suggestions on how to improve I'd love to hear them!!

Please wait...
