This guy has been months in the making. About a year ago, I started thinking about how Tremor would look if he was brought back in MKX. He debuted in Special Forces, but didn't have any appearances in the main series. Save for a brief appearance in the Challenge Tower for MK9, in the classic ninja garb. So, I figured he'd be a larger ninja with stone arms primarily. Months later, MKX announced him as DLC and they had the same idea. I wasn't entirely wild about the rest of his design, so I kept going with my own thing. Swapped out the upper legs and knees for Ares, sanding down the knees in the process. Lower legs came from Classic Thor with the kneepads cut away, and the area resculpted to look smooth. Took a part of the belt from Kraven, then sculpted around the rest, along with the upper and lower torso. Didn't have to do much to the bracers since I sculpted up the stone arms around them. Swapped out the hands for Colossus for two reasons. 1) I liked the look of one open hand and one closed fist. And 2) aside from very little sanding, it didn't take much to give them the stone look. And we finally come to the head. I bought a couple different ones from AngelForge, but thought this one fit best. All I had to do was sculpt up the mask. Roughed it up a little, then sectioned it out, outlining it in black, with brown on the right, and silver in the middle. Overall, a very tedious and slow project, but in the end, definitely my favorite Mortal Kombat figure yet. And probably my last for a while. With all the recent Street Fighter announcements, I really want to jump on a few of those characters.
