I know what you're gonna say: 'not another DareDevil custom, but hey cut me some slack. This DareDevil was a planned project for months, but was completed in June as I left it til then as I knew it be a pain to make, but actually it wasn't as bad as one might guess. So I took the Marvel Legends Daredevil and bathed his shoulders in hot water for 4 mins and to my amazment I managed to pop them out. Then I took the upper arms off a Marvel Legends X2 Cyclops and managed to pop the right arm in perfectly, but the left I ended up having to make a new socket for. This was done with a LOTR Ringwriath as if you take his arm out of his upper arm you will notice the softgoods material is held on with a sleave piece, so I used that. I then snapped his legs off and shoved a movie Human Torches abdomin with waist attached into it. I drilled holes into the DD boots and as luck would have it they fit into the Human Torches legs. Now I ended up using the lower arms of the DD so as to keep his hands and so I just joined the two with the joint the X2 Cyclops figure has. This means he has a single elbow joint, but I'm not fussed. The rest was MILIPUT work making it flush, pulling the flames off of Torches legs and filling the gaps. I also had to reglue his belt on. Lastly it was a paintjob and I was really happy with the result and additional biker strap look on his arms and the detail on his legs and weighst. I did also have to do a repaint on his face as this figure was never painted briliantly. Also have Bullseye to be posted next. Please wait... |
