Another fodder creation, very simple we just replace broken arm then did some painting nothing fancy just makes for anew Black Lantern which is always nice.

Figure history:
- Absorbing Man wave 3 #024.
- Entire right arm was broken off, we took the arm from a Crysis 2 figure and trimmed the cuff to fit (about 2/16 too long) then used a dremel to redo the hand hole.
- Used Black Flat Testor's Acrylic paint.
- Took my time to do the effects on his chest and head, symbols on back are not Chinese or Japanese but look neat... OR ARE THEY? Could be how their language looks in said dimension eh? You never know :P


We thought about this for a while and my son helped me with the story so here goes!

Absorbing Man was one of the first to encounter the Black Lantern's when they visited his Earth (Earth-1010101 and we'll get into the binary aspect of that Earths designation at a later time) however during his fight with the initial invasion squad he directly touched a black lantern ring. Absorbing Man intentionally absorbed the ring completely unaware of the consequences due to the fact this Earth had never encountered Zombies before in fact they were non-existent in this dimension while vampires, werewolves and other stories still existed no one had ever conceived the possibility of the dead returning to life so there were no clues, no hints nothing to warn Absorbing Man not to attempt and absorb the ring so naturally seeing the power emitted he assumed absorbing it directly would empower himself enough to ward off the invasion. The video footage stolen from the Omniverse data vault by a group of rogue inter-dimensional hackers showed that Absorbing Man did in fact absorb the ring entirely and it in-turn transformed his body into one giant Black Lantern ring in a sense and while his absorbing powers remained fully intact, new powers and even those not expected of a Black Lantern began to emerge as his body was consumed by the ring instead of the other way around! Closing all portals and then turning on his entire planet, Absorbing Man consumed every living soul, normal humans, heroes, and villains including his wife and son, none were safe from the hunger that consumed his entire body, in essence "absorbing" all life from Earth-101010. Absorbing Man used his new found powers to return through a dimensional portal to where the invasion originated from to battle Black Hand directly for control over the Dimensional Death Corps - a massive lantern corp comprised of Black Lanterns from countless conquered dimensions with one goal being to consume all life and leave every dimension in an eloquent silence, a silence that cannot be broken once the last life of a dimension is extinguished.

The outcome? Still being determined! Find out more at the end of summer 2015 I'll update you on how the story goes!
