I always wanted to have a nice Iron Man action figure. Somehow it took me all those years to get one. After being slightly disappointed with stock MK 42 paint job I decided to upgrade my toy. Whole figure was sanded and joints were shielded. I also removed all the letters from figure's thigh.
Iron man was painted with primer and custom blended red and yellow metallics. I also painted all the panel lines and small details. To make sure metallic flakes in paint were visible I applied gloss clearcoat, which also added some durability. At the end i gave my MK 43 slight battle damage. It makes figure look less like a toy and more like an anctual used armor:) Please feel free to comment.
