"They're rallying to their King"- Gandalf. "Where is he going?" (Bilbo) "To cut off the head of the snake"(Gandalf). The movie was spectacular Richard Armitage is just perfect casting and I loved the look of his last outfit when he led the Dwarven armies against the orcs and Azog. Can't wait for funeral scene in extended cut and hope there's a scene where Thranduil lays Orcist on Thorin's body/ grave. This figure is a regular Thorin figure with his Tunic removed. Then I took chainmail from Pelenor fields Aragorn and made a tunic out of it, made some buttons out of spare parts for his undershirt and took a super-articulated Aragorn's coat, cut it down to his size and painted it. His belt is the same as the one he came with, just repainted and kept to save time, plus love the look of it. His boots are a more grey snow themed clour (based on pics on Google) and his overall body hasn't changed much jsut repaints, also face and hair repainted as detail wasn't great. I am tempted to make a new head as this one doesn't look like Richard Armitige, but overall glad with result. I would also like to sand the arms so the figure looks like it has sleeves not mail.

So the update is that I removed his hair except the hair ties at the front then took a Balrog battle Gandalf and used his hair to be more flowing, flexible and movie acurate. Less like Hagrid more like Thorin.

Further change has been made. I took a pair of coronation gimli gloves and removed the hand portion then carefully hollowed out the gloves. Then on the thorin figure I removed large parts of his wrist in order to trim down its size essentially leaving him tubes for lower arms. Then I slid and glued the gloves over his arms and stretched the lower potion of the thorin hands to the gimli hand part thus making the new gloves look like the ones Thorin wears at the end. Then I painted the gloves a grey with dry brushing on top and added the gold trim around the top. I made this change to make it more acurate of course and I noticed it as I was re watching the battle of the five armies extended cut and thought well I've got these gloves left over from that gimli I've used and the gloves were perfect in decoration down to the stitching on the finger parts of the gloves. It's something I loved about toybiz their attention to detail that I use so often in my customs as little change is needed. I also added the hair braids to the back as I noticed he had those still even after the barrel sequence. So I removed them from a thorin figure and sanded then down and starched to the hair and then I used black miliput to shape the hair better in detail etc and painted. I'm glad I made this change as it's more authentic. Also I painted the toe detail silver as I noticed this in the film.

Yeah I'm redoing my azog as I bought another azog and just gonna sculpt the armour onto him. I've also made this thorin better again hahaha with addition of a sculpted belt buckle with two ravens in, like the one he wears because I love attention to detail. I have a mould from the x men 2 ice man and a blue base so I'm gonna make a loaf of frozen ice and make a frozen waterfall etc. I have soooo many projects on ATM for the hobbit it's ridiculous
