Hello fellow customizers,

Up for consideration in the "BIG GUNS" contest is Cable.
Who the heck is that...he's a man out of time.
Who the heck is that...he likes to fight crime.
who the heck is that...he hangs out with deadpool.
Who the heck is that...but he ain't no fool.
Who the heck is that...he's freaking Cable.

Well now that I got that out of the way, I've had that song in my head ever since I started this custom...sorry about that!

Cable is the son of Cyclops & a clone of Jean Grey, he was infected by a transmode virus as an infant and sent to the future. Where he became a great militant leader against the forces of Apocalypse, Traveling back in time to defeat Apocalypse in the past. He wound up leading the New Mutants and forming them into his own personal army X-force. He sides with the X-men on occasion, but because of his upbringing he often disagrees with the X-men's pacifistic ways. A powerful telekinetic and telepathic mutant, most of his energies go into battling the transmode virus which threatens to devour his entire body, which is why Cable uses weapons in battle. Many of these fantastic weapons such as giant guns, knives, bombs, armor, and pouches came from the future in which Cable fought to keep the force of evil at bay. This Cable custom was made from a Marvel Legends(ML) Stryfe's body, feet and upper left arm, ML Radioactive man's upper right arm, Head is a casting cave cast of ML Hyperion (the chin & mouth looked similar to the Stryfe head)was slightly customized mostly in the hair area, Marvel Select(MS) Cable's lower arms, lower legs, and accessories, and other fodder parts.

The Stryfe body and the MS Cable parts fit together nicely with just a small amount of customizing effort. This custom Cable is the same size as the officially released Stryfe figure and both are 7" inches in a 6" scale as they are both bigger characters. Plus none of his mid-body articulation was sacrificed as I made the shoulder harness removable. With Hasbro seemingly putting the X-family on hold in figure form after Magik, I thought it was time to update some X-men.
