Hello my friends , still cleaning my fodder bins by creating weird and wonderful original or alternate characters , in this case I present you my Realmverse version of Marvel's Doctor Octopus (an alt universe version of him) , but first I little much needed history lesson much important for further understanding of the story!.

The Chernobyl disaster (Chornobyl Catastrophe; also referred to as Chernobyl or the Chornobyl accident) was a catastrophic nuclear accident that occurred on 26 April 1986 at the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant in Ukraine (then officially the Ukrainian SSR), which was under the direct jurisdiction of the central authorities of the Soviet Union. An explosion and fire released large quantities of radioactive particles into the atmosphere, which spread over much of the western USSR and Europe.

The disaster began during a systems test on Saturday, 26 April 1986 at reactor number four of the Chernobyl plant, which is near the city of Pripyat and in proximity to the administrative border with Belarus and the Dnieper River. There was a sudden and unexpected power surge, and when an emergency shutdown was attempted, an exponentially larger spike in power output occurred, which led to a reactor vessel rupture and a series of steam explosions. These events exposed the graphite moderator of the reactor to air, causing it to ignite. The resulting fire sent a plume of highly radioactive fallout into the atmosphere and over an extensive geographical area, including Pripyat. The plume drifted over large parts of the western Soviet Union and Europe. From 1986 to 2000, 350,400 people were evacuated and resettled from the most severely contaminated areas of Belarus, Russia, and Ukraine.

Russia, Ukraine, and Belarus have been burdened with the continuing and substantial decontamination and health care costs of the Chernobyl accident. A report by the International Atomic Energy Agency examines the environmental consequences of the accident. Another UN agency, UNSCEAR, has estimated a global collective dose of radiation exposure from the accident "equivalent on average to 21 additional days of world exposure to natural background radiation"; individual doses were far higher than the global mean among those most exposed, including 530,000 local recovery workers who averaged an effective dose equivalent to an extra 50 years of typical natural background radiation exposure each. Estimates of the number of deaths that will eventually result from the accident vary enormously; disparities reflect both the lack of solid scientific data and the different methodologies used to quantify mortality – whether the discussion is confined to specific geographical areas or extends worldwide, and whether the deaths are immediate, short term, or long term.

31 deaths are directly attributed to the accident, all among the reactor staff and emergency workers. An UNSCEAR report places the total confirmed deaths from radiation at 64 as of 2008. The Chernobyl Forum predicts the eventual death toll could reach 4000 among those exposed to the highest levels of radiation (200,000 emergency workers, 116,000 evacuees and 270,000 residents of the most contaminated areas); this figure is a total causal death toll prediction, combining the deaths of approximately 50 emergency workers who died soon after the accident from acute radiation syndrome, nine children who have died of thyroid cancer and a future predicted total of 3940 deaths from radiation-induced cancer and leukemia.

There are events that transcends time and space , that are destined to happen no matter what , whether in our own world or in an alternate one (or all of them!) , this is such case , the protagonist my change , but the horrible result is the same , Dr. Otto Octavius was the head of the Russian Nuclear Division and was performing a very dangerous experiment inside the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant , trying to create a new artificial power source , unfortunately a slight miscalculation started a chain reaction witch affect the Plant core reactor and cause a huge explosion and thus the terrible disaster that follow , Octavius , who was wearing a heavily fortified experimental radiation protective suit with humanoid robotic arms on it , was fused permanently to it in various parts and horrendously disfigured by the radiation forcing him to conceal it with a special helmet that allows him to breath better and control the suit's enhancements as well , his mind also affected and with a tremendous sense of guilt over the death of so many people , it's said this husk of a once brilliant man haunts the grounds of Chernobyl and may heaven have mercy on the poor soul that dares to enter his own personal mass grave , an eternal keeper of the terrible horrors that man can do , beware of M.A.N.O.S. (mechanical arms nuclear operational system).

Recipe : this mismatch of fodder parts was made on a very boring day while looking for parts for other custom projects , first by using what was left of an Ultimate Spider-Man Doc Ock , the legs were too short , so I cut them off and replace them with a Wrestling figure's legs (glue together and sculpted to fit better) giving him a few inches more , instead of tentacles , decided to experiment with 4 left arms from the MLI Thanos BAF , I seemed strange , but they fit on his back perfectly and remained all their articulation , granted they ARE all left arms (but hey the weirder the better in my book!) , then painted in pavement black/gray the legs, gauntlets and helmet (from an MLI Iron Monger BAF) and finally put him in industrial looking base and finished , now I really hope you like my own twist on one of Marvel's most iconic villains and see you round my friends , later and Thanks!
