A while ago I posted on the forum that I had too many Ben Grimms and I wanted to change one into a different figure. A few ideas flew around and eventually I was thinking of the Balrog from LOTR. Bright colored were painted into the cracks of his skin and then the excess was wiped away (almost like a wash, but brighter this way I guess). I made a few additions onto his skin using epoxy, and the orange flame is from a LOTR RingWraith. Shorts are that lovely black hockey tape. A couple of drybrushes and Done. I have a 4 year old son and he calls all my figures "Guys". So when he saw me working on this figure he just kept saying Lava Guy.
In the darkness, deep in the Pugnacious mountain, the Deadstone was forged. When a massive explosion occurred during the Valdrauni war, the stone was plunged deep into the rock and overheated, birthing Lava guy.
