Green Lantern – Zinan Drass (1975)

Location: Imh’Dalim system
Description: A terrestrial planet with an extremely slow axial rotation, days and nights here can last as long as an Earth-week (depending on the season) around twin stars (in 11th century, Arabian civilization known those stars and called them الأخوات التوأم or al’xwat altu’m – Twin Sisters). Rainforests and giants fungal organisms dominate much of the surface.
This planet is much like Earth, abundant in life and with many rich ecosystems, and is the homeworld of the Quivogan civilization and a conscious kind of mushrooms, Turzarill.

Species: Quivogan
Description: The Quivogan are a matriarchal society, and a single royal household rules the entire planet. They are a peaceful species. It’s race of philosophers with precognitive abilities and small telepathy due to the presence of crystals on their skull. Because of those abilities, they are very difficult to please. Their civilization is dedicated to societal equality at the expense of the individual, and they actively redistribute wealth from the rich to the poor.
They are able to construct biological machines and use living spaceships.

Zinan Drass is born with numerous crystals on his skull and Quivogan’s tradition separates usually the high potential subjects very early to send them to Memories Temple. But just after his ritual for adult age, Zinan Drass has been contacted by Green Lantern corp. His desire of adventures and freedom coupled with an unshakeable will pushes him to accept the ring. He became the Green Lantern of sector 1975. He’s a good friend of Kilowog.
