Hello Realmers. I have been a long-time customizing enthusiast and visitor to the site, but never a contributor, and I felt it was time to change that. I'm beginning by posting a back log of my customs.

My general philosophy with customizing action figures (since I do it to fill out my own collection, and have not yet begun to sell my work) is to only do figures that the manufacturer has either not done at all, or not done well enough in my opinion. I did Jean, here, in the Jim Lee outfit because Hasbro kept not making her. Shortly after I finished, Hasbro released their own. Sigh.

Head to toe, this is the base figure with no swapped parts. I removed her belt/loincloth, stripped the paint (it turns out, the entire figure from the knees up is cast in fleshtone plastic, so that got a little awkward explaining a nude figure to the wife) then I sculpted the belt, thigh... pouches?, shoulder pieces and the edges of the blue wedge that comes over the torso. I based the color scheme off of a variety of art, including my old marvel trading cards (do you guys remember those?), so her bodysuit is much more peach than the Hasbro release.

I was fairly satisfied with the result, but I have to admit, I like Hasbro's version better, so that's what's on the shelf.
