Bat-Turtle! The Dark Ninja!

I imagine Donatello could pull off wearing "the cowl". He's trained in ninjitsu and has the intellect to create all those cool gadgets and outsmart all the bad guys. He may not be rich like Bruce Wayne, but I think resourcefulness would help fill that gap. He could be the hero New York deserves.

Bat-Turtle was made from a soldier style Rescue Hero. The head was from a Donatello Kid Robot figure and is mounted on a peg so it can rotate 360. The ears, utility belt, bat emblem, glove spikes/hooks, and neck guard where all made from modified pieces of fodder. The Bat-a-rang was from Imaginext Batman, sanded off the embossed trademark stuff and shot in vinyl black. The Grappling Gun is a random fodder gun topped with a hook from the Sigma6 line. I painted it grey to add some contrast against the black gloves.

The iconic Bat Cape was made from a vinyl-like material I found at the craft store and was trimmed with wire on each side so it could be moved and adjusted and hold its shape. It can be draped down over his back or made to look like its blowing in the wind. Pretty fun actually! Everything on this figure was painted except for his green face. The quilted parts of his suit were top coated with a matte finish to add some surface variety to all the glossy black. The display base is a drain cover I found at the store and thought looked industrial enough and also somewhat like a manhole cover. His feet are held in place with tiny screws in order to give him that Power Stance look. The bat emblem embellishment on the base is a mystery piece that I thought complimented the overall appearance.
