Kenji is one of four playable characters in Capcom's Red Earth. Although I've never played the game due to its very limited arcade release here in the states, I have logged some time playing as Kenji on my PS2 in Capcom's Fighting Evolution, where this ninja could be played with or against a handful of classic Streetfighter characters such as Ryu and Guile.

This ninja has an arsenal of cool attacks in both games: Katana, limitless kunai throwing knives, bladed forearms, kusarigama, pillars of flame, and last but not least a HUGE freakin chained BAZOOKA!!! While he only wielded one at a time in the game, I felt a dual wield would look pretty flippin sweet (not to mention give some nice looking symmetry). And everyone knows, sometimes one bazooka just isn't enough! In game, Kenji would pull this whopping chained gun from behind his back, fire, and then slide it back behind him. Impossible, I know. I gave it some thought and the D&D player in me said "He's gotta have a bag of holding or something back there..." So, I found a military style pouch to add to his back and ran the chains out of each side, connected them to the guns, and boom, magic Bazooka storage!

As for the recipe, I took 3 different Sigma6 G.I.Joe ninjas (Snake Eyes, Storm Shadow, and another one I couldn't identify) and swapped parts until I had the best look and proportions I could build. A base body with swapped head, forearms, hands, feet and lower legs. The plugs left on the body were filled with putty before priming. The forearm blades are two sides of an axe I had in fodder. His cape was fodder, from a LotR hobbit I believe. His headpiece was made from fodder as well. Mystery pair of guns for the bazookas and some black chain from crafts. His sword is from the Sigma6 line and I added a piece of a broken vintage TMNT Michelangelo belt to the sheath to hold the two Kunai knives (from Nick TMNT Leonardo). Painted from top to bottom and based for display.
