Ask anyone who the number one best Power Rangers villain was and if they say anyone other that Lord Zedd punch them in the face. Woah that was a little dark...Anyway, Lord Zedd was always a really cool character design. He's a skinless cyborg I mean...c'mon. I stared this project shortly after my Wife bought me the Figuarts Red Ranger for my birthday a few months ago. Then...I...kinda lost interest. So he sat on my desk partially painted for a long while until I finally finished him the other day. The body is a Crysis Nanosuit which I thought was a really great and original base for him. Which a couple of other customizers thought too when they made their Zedds using the same base before me. Oh well. His face came from the MMPR Legacy Lord Zedd figure and his staff was made using the ends of an 8 inch barely articulated Zedd along with a plastic dowel rod and some sculpt. His chest armor (taking a bit more inspiration from his look in the MMPR movie here) I think came from an old Skeleton Warriors figure that I got in a lot. Finally I'd like so say that even though the paint job probably just looks sloppy because I was losing patience and just trying to get finished I really like the way it turned out. I don't know how it comes across in the photos but in person he has this wet look like his muscles are full of blood and hes covered in machine grease and oil. What do you guys think?
