This is how Hellboy might have looked had he never crossed over and became "humanized" by the people who raised him. Forget the cats, the cigars and the BPRD, this is him depicted as his birth right proclaims - a demon of the Apocalypse.

Wanted to use the image of a satyr, emphasizing his goat-like appearance, so combined a Mezco Hellboy upper torso with the lower portion of a Shadow Guardian figure. Resculpted the horns from a ML Loki, made the right hand of doom bigger, sculpted the cloven hoofs, and gave a little more girth to his gut. Just figured ol' Big Red would've put on some pounds while waiting for the end of days. Also wondered what he'd look like without the topknot (standard samurai hairstyle) so decided to let his hair down, borrowing the tail end of the hair from a Huntress figure, and sculpting the rest. Thought about giving him a battle axe, or a bullwhip, but really liked how this big 12" sword looked, from a Lady Death figure. What better sword to take on or lead the Golden Army? The re-painted mini skeleton is a toy figure by Schleich, and makes a cute sidekick - sort of like those stop-motion skeletons from Clash of the Titans.
