First off - I LOVE Planet Hulk. I think it's an awesome story that's just plain fun. When I found out there was already a Planet Hulk Legend, I ordered it right away- but couldn't help but feel that it was seriously lacking...I mean, he came with the Spartan-esque helmet, the tower shield, and the shoulder guard, but that was it. And the only bit that was painted was the red feather plume on the helmet; that just didn't cut it.
So I used the Planet Hulk figure (not the variant, so he has both regular green arms) and sculpted on his armored arm. I took some liberties with it and instead of just making a sleeve of the metal and sacrificing articulation, I made it more segmented, and added straps to the inner arm for support. I added an addition strap along the shoulder harness that magnetizes on the back securely, and the warrior's kilt around his waist also uses a magnet, and is made of leather strips I glued together. Painted the shield to match the book and added some blood splatter to the arm guard and shield. Gave him the sword that came with the Marvel NOW Thor figure, as it's really the only big weapon that fits Hulk, but I think it's a good match. Thanks for looking!
